NRA in the News - April 2015
NRA Annual Meeting in Nashville had a record turnout (close to 80,000), as reported by NRA-ILAnews video:

The angle of one photo and the photo-oppublished by the media shows a different story. It is like the photo-ops of Hillary's campaign in Iowa where members of her campaign committee were used to pretend that Hillary was 'mingling' with the people – just after she drove by folks waiting to meet her were ignored as she drove to the backside of the building where she was supposed to speak. Hillary has no common ground with the peasants, and her idea of being 'poor' is not making $300,000 a pop for speaking somewhere. Another shot of the “hundreds” of protestors is HERE. The trick photo created an illusion of more people than present by having some stand on higher ground, far behind the main front group that concealed the gap. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. Further pics can be seen at The Blaze.

Assault weapons are not about hunting, or even self-defense. There is no reason on Earth, other than to kill as many people as possible in as short a time as possible, that anyone needs a gun designed for the battlefield.
The AR-15 platform rifle has become the most popular for several uses, from defense to marksmanship training and competitions and when chambered for 7.62/.308 also used for hunting. The battlefield rifle that ignorant DeLauro talks about is an M16, which is made as a selective rifle for semi-auto or automatic firing. She is right that the M16 was not meant for hunting because civilians are using the AR15 – definitely wrong about using the short easily manipulated carbine-rifle in self-defense. But there's no point in arguing with her because she and her buddies in Congress won't listen. The only thing to do is to make sure she is not re-elected. She also uses the Sandy Hook tragedy as an excuse to counter the Second Amendment. We do not need narrow-minded members of Congress who chooses to ignore facts and truth.
In the meantime, contact your representative (if it is not DeLauro) and urge them to kill this legislation that wastes tax dollars.
Thanks to the support, there are more supporters of the National Right-to-Carry bills generated in Congress. S.498 was introduced by Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), H.R.923 introduced by Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-IN), H.R.986 introduced by Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC), and H.R.402 introduced by Rep. Rich Nugent (R-FL).
