Kirby's Adventure (Part VII)

Hello again! It's time to finish of level 4 of Kirby. Upon completing stage three, there is a museum (utterly useless - contains Sleep and Ball) and an arena revealed (faster, grey pallet swap of Bugzzy), just by the way.

Stage Four

So as usual, the first area is straightforward. Second area is filled with birds and nothing else. The third area will provide you with a trapped wheelie enemy and lots of slopes - so om nom that guy and let's get rolling.

On the way down you will pass through a bomb block, and you will have to race it to the bottom-left in order to get a 1up. You don't have much time, because the bomb block has to first break down the wall closing off the area, and then a second wave will close it back up again.


And then Kirby dies of starvation.

Either door will take you to the same place, which is very helpful from my position. You will notice the classic "mini boss steps" - this time with only the beam and spark powers available. If you're going to pick one at all, I would say beam would be a better choice.

Rolling Turtle

I did not just make that up because I couldn't find the name anywhere. "Rolling Turtle" is really what they called him. When I was young I used to call him Cookie because that's what I thought the little projectiles he shot out were. Turns out they're baby turtles.

Anyway, once you consume his dead body you get the Throw ability, which is moderately useful. I don't go out of my way to acquire it like I do with the UFO.

Naturally, the next area is designed so you can test it out. You can throw diagonally by holding the up arrow as you let go of the B button.


No 1up this time, sadly.


Stage Five

This area is made all the easier by the fact that you are given a Hyper Candy - but at the end there are two doors. Go in the one on the left first.


IT LOOKS LIKE IT ENDS BUT IT DOESN'T. OMG.

So anyway, on the lower level go left till you find some sand blocks, and break them for a doorway which, contains a 1up. (If you are having trouble, one of the safer ways to get rid of the blocks is stand on top of them and inhale them)

You'll get spat out by the door, so leave this room and go in the next one. After a short walk you'll come to a larger doorway which will bring you to another battle against the Meta Knights.


Foooooreshadoooooow.

After this will be an area where lots of the orange bat things try to fall on your head, and then an area with lots of those glowing spikey guys. Then the end of the stage.


That's a little rough.

Stage Six

Lots of bomb blocks and swimming here. The doorway nearby will take you to a Mr. Tick Tock battle, and then you'll be in another darkened area.


Just over from the start, there is a doorway right here that leads to a switch (warp star room).

Continue on to the end, lighting up the area or grabbing another power if you wish to do so. You'll end up back in the room with all the bomb blocks, in the area we couldn't reach before. The next room will contain a stone enemy and three pressure pegs. Pound down the topmost one first obviously, since the other two are blocked. Then do the one at the very bottom and then the one in the middle last for the 1up.

The next room will have a ladder up to the end stage doorway.


Oh dear. I am not very good at this.

Time for da boss!

Kracko

Before the actual fight begins, you'll have to make it up a bunch of platforms, having to keep ahead of the boss all the way. Luckily there is a High Jump enemy on almost every platform to help you out. 

Once the actual battle starts, he has a few different moves he'll try - one wher he swoops down and tries to slam into you, and another where he'll fly slowly across the screen while shooting lightnignt down. He'll also sometimes spit out High Jump enemies, which you can inhale and spit at him if you don't have a power.

Yeah, I died once. Very nearly twice. Oh well. See you next time when we take on Level 5!
