Frantz wins PA Outdoor Writers Association Awards
Grantville, PA - Natural Pursuit Outdoors founder, Tyler Frantz, was recently recognized among peers for his freelance outdoor writing and photography at the Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association 2017 Spring Conference, held May 18-21 at the Harrisburg-Hershey Holiday Inn. During Saturday’s Excellence in Craft Awards Ceremony, Frantz was honored with four 1st place awards and one 2ndplace finish. With 28 award categories selected from a field of 323 total entries, Frantz’s four 1st place Specialty Award distinctions led the pack among the 46 outdoor communicators who submitted their best work for judging.
“It is a great honor to be recognized among the absolute best outdoor writers in the state,” Frantz said. “I look up to these men and women, and the EIC awards serve as a testament to the hard work that goes into our profession.”
“POWA is a top-notch organization, and I would like to congratulate all the other winners, as well as the Awards Chairman for the time and effort put into this program. It is a blessing to be able to share our mutual love of the outdoors and to have such a talented group of friends pushing me to perform at my very best. Thank you to all for your support, advice and encouragement.”In addition to Frantz's freelancing, he is a full-time fourth grade teacher at Palmyra Area School District in Lebanon County. He resides in Annville with his wife Erin, son Foster, and bird dog Cali.
