Creating an Animated Short: Part I
A few weeks ago I hinted at a new project with my good friend Matt Zyla: an animated short about fishing. Well, it's starting to come to fruition! The process is by no means simple. Matt starts by creating the main characters.
Each character has a number of different iterations. Note the accuracy of the "Rush" t-shirt. That's the kind of attention to detail I've come to expect from Matt and why I enjoy working with him so much.
Next, Matt starts the animation process. Don't ask me how it's done: I'm just the stupid fisherman. Here we have one of the main characters rippin' darts andbreaking hearts crushin' a brew.
Other characters are added once a relatively straightforward animation has been completed. Here we have the same animation as above, but with a second character and some of my personal theme music in the background.

Keep checking the blog for more updates on this project. I hope to do some lake trout fishing in the upcoming weeks as well. And make sure to look at Matt's portfolio website.
