Keep PA Beautiful Welcomes New Staff To Coordinate Illegal Dump Free PA Initiatives
Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Thursday announced Aaron Semasko has joined the team to help facilitate the Illegal Dump Free PA initiative across the state.
Semasko will work with local governments, communities, and enforcement agencies to identify and hold accountable individuals and businesses that choose to dump their trash illegally through KPB’s Illegal Dump Free PA.
Illegal Dump Free PA is an innovative program launched in 2015 that provides surveillance camera loans, training and support to Pennsylvania municipalities and community groups.
"We are excited to welcome Aaron to our team. His field experience with game cameras combined with his education and respect for nature and the outdoors provides a great foundation as we advance the Illegal Dump Free PA program and our mission to empower Pennsylvanians to keep our communities clean and beautiful,” said Shannon Reiter, President of Keep PA Beautiful. “Aaron brings a fresh perspective and I know he will be an asset to the Illegal Dump Free PA initiative and the organization as a whole."
“I am thrilled to help catch those who create these incredible blemishes on our beautiful Pennsylvania landscape!” said Semasko.
Semasko worked previously as a biomonitor and consultant. He has extensive game camera and field experience through rattlesnake population monitoring and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Terrestrial Ecology and a Master’s Degree in Biology.
The Keep PA Beautiful Surveillance Camera Loan Program provides grant recipients with three surveillance cameras to capture evidence of illegal dumping at an active dumpsite and technical assistance with installation.
