MTB January Ice Box Review

Initially, I was disappointed with last month's Mystery Tackle Box. My opinion changed when I saw the price of one of the lures at the Canadian Tire in Huntsville, which is where I usually buy tackle when I'm not shopping online. That one item alone was almost $10! So I'm going to review these boxes a little differently going forward.
This month's box included:
I've compared the price of the products at Canadian Tire (not including tax) with the price as stated on the "What's Inside" pamphlet in the box, and I've also converted the pamphlet price to Canadian Dollars (for reference, with the current exchange rate, each box costs me around $18). A few things are obvious right off the bat. First, I wouldn't be able to purchase most of these products locally. Second, we must be getting ripped off in Canada because one Foo Flyer here costs three times as much! There's definitely much more than $18 of value in the box.
I'm still a bit disappointed that there aren't any lures that would be good for lake trout, but overall I'm happy with this box. It has a nice assortment of baits to try out. The Impulse Minnow Heads seemed a bit odd at first, but they seem to be a nice alternative to tipping spoons with live bait. Again, something I wouldn't necessarily pick up in a store, but that I'll probably put to good use.

And tomorrow, we'll see if any of these actually work!
