DEP Citizens Advisory Council To Hear Update On PNDI Review Tool Sept. 15
On September 15 DEP’s Citizens Advisory Council will hear an update from DCNR on the improvements it plans to the PA Natural Diversity Inventory Environmental Review Tool.
The Council will also hear an update on activities and priorities from DCNR’s Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council.
DEP provided its regulator written Monthly Report To Council featuring updates on--
-- Chapter 78 & 78A Drilling Regulations: DEP expects to present the final version of the rules to the Environmental Quality Board on January 19;
-- Act 54 Longwall Mining Impact Report: DEP said it received Council’s comments and will work with the CAC to address its concerns; and
-- Regular updates on the status of regulations, issues considered by advisory committees and the latest stats from the Oil and Gas Program.
Council also posted revised procedures for taking comments during the public comment portion of the CAC’s meeting agenda. The procedures are on page 3 of this document.
The meeting will be held in Room 105 Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg starting at 10:00.
