Live A Live: Finale Bonus Dungeons (Part 3)

More bonus dungeons, because why not right?

Time Dungeon
This dungeon is kind of annoying to get to, because you have to wade through a thick clustering of trees while chasing a phantom horse. At least I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a phantom horse. It is a horse, at least. Just pay attention to where it runs through the trees and you should have an easier time. You'll see it for the first time walking east between Familia Village and the Forbidden Lands.

Also the entrance is practically invisible, so that's fun. Inside you will be under a time limit of sorts (obviously). A bell will go off every fifteen seconds or so, and after each bell the dungeon will get a bit darker. If the bell goes off eight times you will be attacked by an optional boss, which is somewhat tough. For now let's not worry about that.

From where you start, run up and to the left and take the furthest of the two openings at the end of the room (ignore the chests along the way for now). Take the stairs down in this next room, then go straight south and take the left door. Go down in the next chamber again and take the door to get to the weapon room.

Pick up the .44 Magnum and equip it to your cowboy. If you want to get some items, taking the southeast stairs will lead to a Magical Wood, and then continue through a few more rooms. When the path splits go east instead of taking the stairs above you and in the larger room get a Holy Water from an alcove down the left of two sets of steps. Exit to the north and go through a corridor to end up back in the first room.

Down two sets of steps here (the ones we took to get to the Magnum first of all) is a chest with a pair of Chario Boots then back up by the very first door and then back up by the very first door is what I'm pretty sure is supposed to be called an Argos's Eye. There's also a Venus Figurine to the east just above the entrance. Now all that's left is to leave the dungeon, or just wander around until the last bell sounds and you are assailed by some enemies.

Optional Boss: Jaggy Egg (4)

What would an optional boss be without enormous amounts of defense? Nothing! Li's HuaLongTianShengZhi was the hero here, as usual but the ninja's Strength of Ninja was rather helpful as well. The cowboy can do decent amounts of damage with the Double Shot or Triple shot techniques... if you can manage to keep him alive at all. If you have a lot of Naorigusa (or the Medicine Box is even better) then you should be able to outlast them. Especially if you're unlike me and actually heal people when they get low on health instead of being like "Naaah, they'll be fine." Pro tip: They're usually not fine.

When you're done, you will get the Ariel Glove.

Strength Dungeon

Before you're even allowed to enter this dungeon you'll have a boss to fight, because strength and fighting, pow smash. Once you have the wrestler in your party, you should be able to see this guy from the trees east of Hero Mountain.

Normally he's rather dangerous, he has an attack that can turn your characters to stone. However if you have any of the Ariel items dropped by the optional bosses (or Rock Fists dropped by a more common enemy) then you will be able to grant your characters immunity by equipping these. I didn't need to however, because I took it out in a single shot with my kung fu inheritor's ultimate attack (level 16).

Inside you won't find any enemies to start with, but you won't be able to open any of the treasure chests either. Simply keep heading north three times to reach the weapon room.

As soon as you pick up the Super Bandage you will have unlocked all the chests in the dungeon, but it will also become a hive of random encounters. It's a straight path to the exit so I'll just list the chest contents from top to bottom for each room.
First room; Mermaid Bottom, Ice Helm
Second room; Bloody Magic Robe Gold Topknot, Empty, Amethyst Shield, Goddess Gauntlet, Chario Boots
Third room;  Empty, Holy Water, Magic Pendant

And that's it for these optional dungeons! Only one more left!
