This is my all time favorite fishing haven. It's near to where I stay & the fishing is productive. The place is operated by a fine gentlemen by the name of Nik Rahimi who is always willing to teach & pass on his knowledge to any eager angler wishing to hook a fish there.

Nile Tilapia

I've been fishing regularly here since 2010 & I must say this place is a fine example of a well managed Sports Fishing ( CnR compulsory ) centre. The place is smack right in the heart of the Shah Alam Botanical & Agriculture park just 20mins away from KL City. To get to this place, you must first register yourself at the park ranger's guard house which is located some 200m away from the main entrance. Mad Barb

Upon arrival, anglers are treated to a unique jungle environment with lush jungles & a huge L-shaped lake. The Lake is divided by an old dam structure that most local anglers refer to as Upper & Lower dam. The place opens from 7am to 7pm, closed on Mondays. Fees are charged at RM 15 / rod on weekdays & RM 18 / rod on weekends & public holidays. Here is a list of fishes stocked here:

Red Tilapia

The most popular caught fishes here are the Pacu which seems to dominate the waters. Size wise, they are only in the 500g to 2kg specimens but some larger ones do hang out on the lower dam section of the reservoir. Best time to do fishing here is in the early morning or evenings while fishing in the afternoon from 12pm to 2pm is usually less productive.
